FAQ

Question 1: What is the shrink ratio of the heat shrink tubing?

Answer: The standard shrink ratio is 2:1.

Question 2: What is the temperature range?

Answer: The operating temperature range is -55°C to +125°C. The shrinking process begins at 90°C, with full shrinkage occurring between 120°C and 130°C.

Question 3: What colors are available?

Answer: Standard colors include black, red, yellow, blue, and green. Other colors are available upon request.

Question 4: How do I choose the right size?

Answer: Select tubing with an inner diameter (before shrinking) that is larger than the outer diameter of the object to be covered. After shrinking, the inner diameter should be smaller than the object's diameter to ensure a tight fit. Please refer to our size chart for specific specifications.

Question 5: How do I use the heat shrink tubing correctly?

Answer: Use a heat gun to heat the entire surface evenly, working from the middle towards both ends. Avoid overheating or heating the same spot for too long to prevent scorching or cracking. Do not use an open flame.

Question 6: Is this tubing waterproof?

Answer: This is a single-wall polyolefin heat shrink tubing. It offers heat and water resistance but does not provide a completely watertight seal. For applications requiring full waterproofing, please choose our dual-wall heat shrink tubing with an inner layer of hot-melt adhesive.

Question 7: Can samples be provided for testing?

Answer: Yes, we provide samples for testing; customers are only responsible for the shipping costs.
