Product Description
The FN7 indoor load-break switch is designed for 12 kV three-phase power distribution systems operating at 50 Hz or 60 Hz. It utilizes gas-based arc-extinguishing technology to manage the arc during switching operations, ensuring reliable performance within rated electrical parameters. It is suitable for use in indoor distribution equipment, ring main units (RMUs), and box-type substations within 10 kV and 12 kV distribution networks.
The FN7 Indoor Load Break Switch Under normal operating conditions, the FN7 switch is used to make and break load currents within its rated limits. It also possesses a specified short-circuit current withstand capability.

When protecting distribution lines and associated equipment, The FN7 Indoor Load Break Switch is often paired with suitable high-voltage fuses. It is equipped with a tripping mechanism that interrupts faulty circuits and limits the impact on other equipment - such as distribution transformers and power cables - thereby providing short-circuit and overcurrent protection. The specific protection characteristics depend on the switch design and the fuse combination employed.
Note: When selecting a model, users should verify the rated voltage, load current, short-circuit withstand rating, operating frequency, and compatible fuse specifications. Proper installation and regular inspections are essential to ensure the safe operation of the equipment throughout its service life.

Product Features
Compact modular structure for easy installation
The unit features a modular frame, independent three-phase supports with epoxy resin insulation, and clear labeling. Its compact design allows for integrated installation and straightforward commissioning.
Arc extinction via self-generated gas; simple operation and maintenance
It utilizes materials that generate arc-extinguishing gas at high temperatures. It is free from SF6 greenhouse gas - thereby eliminating leakage risks and the need for gas pressure monitoring - while ensuring stable equipment operation.
Multiple forced mechanical interlocks to prevent operational errors
Equipped with robust mechanical interlocks, the system prevents the load-break switch from operating when the earthing switch is closed, and prevents the earthing switch from operating when the load-break switch is live. This hardware-based protection prevents hazards such as earthing a live circuit or closing the switch while a ground connection is present, thereby ensuring safety during maintenance and compliance with high-voltage safety standards.
Fuse protection for rapid fault isolation
The FN7 load-break switch operates in conjunction with high-voltage fuses, with each component performing a specific function. The switch handles normal load switching, while the fuse intervenes in the event of a short circuit: the melting of the internal element triggers the striker pin, causing the switch to open and rapidly isolating the faulty circuit.
Stable mechanical performance and high environmental adaptability
It features a manual spring-operated energy-storage mechanism that ensures stable opening and closing operations. The components undergo anti-corrosion treatments to resist rust, ensuring a long mechanical service life and suitability for a wide range of applications.
Our Advantage
Located in the Liushi electrical industry cluster, JASCO leverages a mature supply chain to independently develop and manufacture FN7 load break switches. We handle everything from large-volume orders to small-batch trial orders and sample requests, while supporting various trade terms.
Our FN7 load break switches are manufactured in strict accordance with IEC standards and come with complete factory test reports. We offer parameter adjustments and product customization to meet specific client needs; we also support neutral packaging and custom logo printing, catering to the requirements of overseas power projects for complete equipment sets.
Every FN7 load break switch undergoes comprehensive pre-delivery testing - including mechanical interlocking, power-frequency withstand voltage, and operational performance checks - and is accompanied by FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) records. Epoxy resin and metal components undergo anti-corrosion treatment, ensuring suitability for harsh indoor operating environments (such as high temperatures and high altitudes) and minimizing post-sales issues in the field.
With years of experience exporting high-voltage electrical equipment, we are well-versed in export packaging (wooden crates), customs declaration, and shipping procedures. We also provide essential customs clearance documents, such as manufacturer authorization letters and certificates of origin.
In addition to FN7 load break switches, JASCO offers a full range of primary power distribution components, including fuses, surge arresters, disconnect switches, and cable terminations. Customers benefit from one-stop centralized procurement - saving time and reducing the costs associated with coordinating multiple suppliers - to obtain a comprehensive, integrated solution.
