Parallel Groove Clamp

The parallel groove clamp (also known as a PG clamp) is a bolted, non-tension electrical fitting used in overhead power transmission and distribution lines. It is designed to establish a reliable parallel electrical connection between two bare conductors without the need to cut the main conductor. By tightening the bolts, the grooved contact surfaces generate stable contact pressure, ensuring low contact resistance and consistent power transmission.
