Product Description

CPTAU pre-insulated copper-aluminum bimetallic cable connectors are widely used in power distribution cabinets, transformers, circuit breakers, and low-voltage electrical systems.

The integrated pre-insulated plastic sleeve not only ensures excellent insulation, mechanical strength, and aging resistance but also simplifies on-site cable installation and reduces assembly time.

The CPTAU copper-aluminum bimetallic cable connector is designed to establish a reliable electrical connection between copper equipment and aluminum cables.

This product series utilizes a high-quality copper-aluminum composite structure, effectively preventing electrochemical corrosion caused by direct contact between the two metals.

FAQ

Q1: What is the function of the CPTAU pre-insulated bimetallic connector?

A1: CPTAU bimetallic connectors are designed to connect aluminum conductors to copper busbars, transformers, switchgear, and other copper electrical terminals in low-voltage power systems. Their construction utilizes friction welding technology to effectively prevent galvanic corrosion between the copper and aluminum.

Q2: What is the rated voltage for the JASCO CPTAU series bimetallic connectors?

A2: They are suitable for power distribution systems with a rated voltage of up to 0.6/1 kV.

Q3: What do the color codes on the insulation sleeve indicate?

A3: Different colors correspond to specific cable cross-sections for quick identification: Yellow (16 mm²), Orange (25 mm²), Red (35 mm²), Yellow (50 mm²), Black (54.6 mm²), Blue (70 mm²), and Blue (95 mm²).

Q4: Can these pre-insulated bimetallic connectors be used outdoors?

A4: Yes. Their foldable plastic sleeve is weather-resistant and UV-resistant, making them ideal for both indoor and outdoor electrical installations. They are suitable for operating temperatures ranging from -40°C to +105°C and altitudes up to 2,000 meters.

Q5: What tools are required to install CPTAU bimetallic connectors?

A5: Hydraulic tools equipped with precision hexagonal dies are required for proper crimping. To ensure the long-term strength of the connection point, an impact-type (or hammer-type) crimping method is recommended.

Q6: Are the bimetallic connectors prone to deformation or cracking?

A6: JASCO employs friction welding technology to create an integral bond between the copper and aluminum. This unified bonding layer prevents direct contact and galvanic corrosion between the two metals, thereby ensuring low contact resistance and stable operational performance.
